let ,a=8cm

b=15cm

c=17cm

s=a+b+c/2

s=20cm

area of triangle=√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)

(this is called heron's formula so by this u can find the area of triangle)

 s = \frac{a + b + c}{2}

s =  \frac{8 + 15 + 17}{2}

s = 20

area =  \sqrt{s(s - a)(s - b)(s - c)}

area =  \sqrt{20(20 - 8)(20 - 15)(20 - 17)}

area =  \sqrt{20 \times 12 \times 5 \times 3}

area =  \sqrt{3600}  \\  \\  area = 60cm {}^{2}
