Answer :

Given :

Side of the square Hall is 8 meters and 5 decimeters.

so, let convert this measurement into meters .

Hence

Convert 5 decimeters into meters .

As we know that ,

1 decimeter = 1/10 meters

So 5 decimeters = 5/10

= 0.5 meters

Now add this 0.5 meters to 8 meters

Therefore we get ,

The measurement of the side of the square Hall = 0.5 + 8.0

= 8.5 meters.

Required to find :

  1. Area of the square
  2. Cost of fixing tiles

Solution :

From the above we know that,

Measurement of the side of the square Hall = 8.5 meters

Hence ,

Using the Formula let's find the area of the square Hall.

Formula :

Area of the square = side x side

Hence using this formula we are going to find the area of the hall.

Here is the calculations ;

Area of the square Hall = 8.5 meters x 8.5 meters

= 72.25 meter^2

Therefore,

Area of the square is 72.25 meter^2

In the question he also mentioned that

cost of fixing tiles for 1m^2 = Rs. 300

Therefore,

He asked to find how much it costs for whole hall

This means

Cost of fixing tiles for 72.25 meter^2 = ?

=>. 72.25 x Rs. 300

=>. Rs. 21,675

Therefore,

cost of fixing tiles for 72.25 meter^2 = Rs. 21,675.
