Perimeter = 4 × side
= 4 ×10
= 40cm
When sides are doubled:-
Sides = 2×10
= 20
New perimeter = 4 (side)
= 4 × 20
= 80
So when the sides of square is doubled the perimeter will also doubled.

P1 = 40cm^2
Side is doubled (a')= 2a = 2×10 =20
Perimeter of new square = 4 × a'
P2 = 4×20 = 80
