the sides ab and bc of a parallelogram are 35 cm and 50 m respectively .if the length of prependicular drawn from A to BC is 20 m , find the area of parallelogram

area of a parallelogram = height * base

                                       = 20m * 50m

                                       = 1000m2

we take 50m as base as the height ( altitude ) is from A to BC, so BC is the base.
