Answer:

B+ adb =180 linear pair

B=180- ang ADB

A = 180- ang DCB

X+y+180-a+180-b=360 angle sum property

X+y=360-360+a+b

x+y=a+b

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

BAD = (180o - b) (linear pair)

BCD = (180o - a) (linear pair)

Now by angle sum property of quadrilateral, we have

x + (180 - b) + y + (180 - a) = 360o

x + y - b - a = 0

x + y = a + b

x + y = a + b
