the sides of a parallelogram are 4 and 3 CM if the altitude corresponding to the base 4 cm is 1.8 cm what will be the length of the altitude corresponding to the base 3 cm

The parallelogram will have area as 0.5*b*h = 0.5 * 4 * 1.8, that is, 3.6 sq.cm. The area can also be given by, 3.6= 0.5*3*height, while we take base as 3 cm. So the height is 3.6/(3*0.5) or 2.4cm... Hope this helps..
