Length 20cm
Breadth 15cm
Area l×b
20×15=300cm²
New length =20+20/100×20
=24cm
new breadth =15+20/100×15
=18cm
New area 24×18
=432cm²
%age of area increased=(432-300)/300×100
=132/300×100
=44%

L = 20 \: cm \\ B = 15 \: cm \\ \\ Area = L \times B \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 20 \times 15 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 300 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \\ New \: length = 20 + 20\% \: of \: 20 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 20 + \frac{20}{100} \times 20 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 24 \: cm \\ \\ New \: breadth = 15 + 20\% \: of \: 15 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 15 + \frac{20}{100} \times 15 \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 18 \: cm \\ \\ New \: Area = 24 \times 18 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 432 \: {cm}^{2} \\ \\ \% \: of \: Area \: Increased = \frac{(432 - 300)}{300} \times 100\% \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = \frac{132}{3} \\ \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: \: = 44 \\ \\ Ans. \: 44\%
