hmm

let b = x
l=x+5

perimeter = 2 (l+b)
65=2 (x+x+5)
65=4x+10
65-10=4x
55=4x
55/4=x
13.75
now
b =13.75
l=18.75

area = l×b
13.75×18.75
287.8125

hope it helps you

hii!!

here's ur answer...

given that one of the side of the rectangle is x and another one is x+5.

we know that length is longer than the breadth so breadth be x and length be x+5.

perimeter of the rectangle = 65cm

therefore 2(l+b) = 65cm

=> 2(x+5+x) = 65cm

=> 2(2x+5) = 65cm

=> 4x+10 = 65cm

=> 4x = 65-10

=> 4x = 55

=> x = 55/4

=> x = 13.75cm

hence breadth of the rectangle = x

= 13.75cm

length of the rectangle = x+5

= 13.75+5

= 18.75cm

VERIFICATION:-

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)

= 2(18.75+13.75)

= 2×32.5

= 65cm

hence verified...

now,

area of the rectangle = l×b

= 18.75×13.75

= 257.8125cm²

hope this helps..!
