Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

length of a diagonal of rectangle is

 \sqrt{a {}^{2}  + b {}^{2} }

=

 \sqrt{80 {}^{2}  + 18 {}^{2} }

The sides of a rectangular field are 80m and 18m. Find the length of the diagonal.

Length= 80m

Breadth=18m

Diagonal= ?

As the one angle of the triangle formed by the length, breadth and diagonal is 90  so, we can use the pythagoras theorem  to find the diagonal.

d^{2}= 80^{2} + 18^{2}

d^{2}=6724

d=82m

So, the length of the diagonal is 82m.
