SOLUTION:-

Given

• Sides of right angled triangle are x, x+3, x+6

To find

• Perimeter of right angled triangle

Explanation

Let

• Hypotenuse = x+6

• Perpendicular = x+3

• Base = x

By Pythagoras theorem,

Hypotenuse² = (Perpendicular²+ Base²)

➡ (x+6)² = x² + (x+3)²

➡x²+6²+2×x×6 = x² + x²+3²+2×x×3

➡x²+36+12x= x²+x²+9+6x

➡x²-6x-27=0

➡ x²-(9-3)x-27=0

➡x²-9x+3x-27=0

➡x(x-9)+3(x-9)=0

➡ (x-9)(x+3)=0

➡x-9=0,x+3=0

➡x=9,x=-3

But side can't be negative,

So,

➡ x= 9

Base = 9cm

Perpendicular = x+3 = 9+3 = 12cm

Hypotenuse = x+6 = 9+6 = 15cm

Perimeter = Sum of all sides

➡Perimeter of triangle = 9+12+15

➡Perimeter of triangle= 36 cm

Hence,

  • Perimeter of triangle will be = 36cm.
