Answer:

area pf triangle=306cm^2

by using the heroines formula

s=(a+b+c)/2. s=semi perimeter of triangle

area of triangle if three side lenght are given={s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

by using it

s=(20+37+51)/2

=54cm

area=√{54(54-20)(54-37)(54-51)}

=√{54×34×17×3}

=√(2×3×3×3×2×17×17×3)

=2×3×3×17

=306 cm^2. answer

Answer:

option (a) 306 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Sides of the triangle are 20 cm, 37 cm, 51 cm

semi perimeter of triangle= \frac{a+b+c}{2}

= \frac{20+37+51}{2}

= \frac{108}{2}

= 54

Area of a triangle=\sqrt{s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}

= \sqrt{54(54-20)(54-37)(54-51)}

= \sqrt{54*34*17*3}

By prime factorization we get,

= \sqrt{2*3*3*3*2*17*17*3}

= 2*17*3*3

= 306 cm
