Answer:

According to the Heron's formula, Area (A) of the triangle having sides a,b,c units is

A=  \sqrt{}s(s−a)(s−b)(s−c)

where

s=   a+b+c/2

 = 5+7+8/2= 20/ 2 = 10CM

SO , AREA For the given triangle,

A= \sqrt{10(10-5)(10-7)(10-8)}

\sqrt{10*5*3*2} \\= 10\sqrt{3}   CM^{2}

 ALSO FOR SMALLEST SIDE AREA OF TRIANGLE ,

 10\sqrt{3} = 1/2 *H* 5

( 10\sqrt{3}/5 ) *2 = H

 H = 4\sqrt{3} cm
