let the sides be ,
a=x
b=2x+2
c=3x-2
A.T.Q
a+b+c=30......(1)
therefore, putting value of a,b,c in eqn 1
x+2x+2+3x-2=30
6x=30
x=5

therefore,
a=x=5
b=2x+2=2*5+2=12
c=3x-2=3*5-2=13

therefore,a is the smallest side of the triangle.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let a=x

b=2x+2

c=3x-2

a+b+c=30

x+2x+2+3x-2 = 30

6x = 30

x = 30/6

x=5

Therefore,

x = 5cm

2x+2 = 2*5+2 = 12cm

3x-2 = 3*5-2 = 13cm

Smallest side = 5cm
