let the first side be 3x

second side be 4x

third side be 5x

perimeter = a+b+c

48m = 3x+4x+5x

48m = 12x

48/12 = x

x= 4

first side = 3x = 12

second side = 4x = 16

third side = 5x = 20

now ,

by Pythagoras theorem,

20^2 = 12^2 + 16^2

400 = 144 + 256

400 = 400

hence it is a right triangle,

so area = 1/2 × base × height

= 1/2 × 12 × 16

= 96 m^2
