The sides of a triangle are in the ratio 13:14:15 and its perimeter is 84cm.Find the area of the triangle.

let the sides be 13x , 14x and 15x

Now,

perimeter of triangle = 13x+14x+15x

perimeter of triangle= 42x


84 = 42x

84/42 = x

2 =x

Now,

sides are 13*2 = 26 


14*2 = 28

15*2 = 30

Then,

area b heron formula,

area= root [42 * (42-26) * (42-28) *(42-30) ]

area = root [42*16*14*12]

area = root [ 112896]

area = 336cm^2
