the sides of a triangle are in the ratio 5:6:9 if the perimeter is 40 cm , find the length of the 3 sides.

5x+6x+9x= 40...so20x=40,...... x=2 ....... now put the value of x the sides will became 5×2,6×2,9×2..…..so sides= 10,12,18 respectively

20X=40
X=40÷20
=2
Sides of triangle =5X=5*2=10
6X=6*2=12
9X=9*2=18
Therefore the sides are 10;12;18
