The sides of a triangle are in the ratio of 7 : 9 : 12.

Let the sides of the triangle be 7k, 9k and 12k cm.

According to the question,

12k – 7k = 15

⇒ 5k = 15 ⇒ k = 15/3 =3

∴ Largest side = 12k = 12 × 3 = 36 cm.
