Length of the rectangle = 20cm.

Breadth of the rectangle = 15cm.

Therefore area of the rectangle = (length × breadth) = 20cm × 15cm. = 300cm^2.

20% increase in length = 20 × 120/100cm = 24cm.

20% increase in breadth = 15×120/100cm= 18cm.

Therefore new area = 18cm×24cm = 432cm^2.

Therefore Increase in area = (432 - 300)cm^2 = 132cm^2.

Therefore percentage increase in area = (132cm^2/300cm^2 × 100)%= 44%.
