Hello Friend

Here is your answer below,

Given values are, length of rectangle is. 2m

and Breadth of the rectangle is. 1.5m

so diagonal of the rectangle is 2.5m

Here is your explanation,

if we meet the corner of rectangle we will find a right angled triangle

so

hypotenuse^2 = length^2+ Breadth^2 (here

hypotenuse means diagonaln)

hypotenuse^ 2= 2^2+1.5^2

hypotenuse = (4+2.25)

hypotenuse = 6.25

hypotenuse = 2.5 m

I hope that helps you

Information given in the question:

  • Length=2m
  • Breadth=1.5m

What to find:

\to\\The length of it's diagonal

Solution:

Let,

\to\\Length be l

\toBreadth be b

According to pythagoras theorem:

\toThe diagonal of the rectangle=\sqrt{l^2+b^2}

According to the question:

The diagonal of the rectangle with sides 2m and 1.5m=

\to\sqrt{2^2+1.5^2} m

\to =\sqrt{4+2.25} m

\to =\sqrt{6.25} m

\to =\sqrt{2.5 * 2.5} m

\to =2.5 m

Additional information:

\toThe perimeter of the rectangle=2(Length+Breadth)

\toThe area of the rectangle=(Length*Breadth)

Answer:

The diagonal of the rectangle with sides 2m and 1.5m=2.5m
