the sides of two square are in the ratio 5 : 7 find the ratio of their areas

Answer:

Let side of 1st square =5x

Side of another square =7x

Area of 1st square =(5x) ^2

=25x^2

Area of 2nd square =(7x) ^2

=49x^2

Ratio = area1/area2

=25x2/49x2

=25/49
