Given:-

  • The simple interest on a sum of money
  • at 10% per annum for 6 year is half the
  • sum.

To find:-

  • The sum.

Solution:-

Let,

  • the sum be Rs.x.

According to the question,

Here,

  • Simple Interest = Rs (x/2)
  • Time = 6 years
  • Rate = 10% per annum

⇢ SI = (P × R × T)/100

where,

  • R = Rate
  • T = Time
  • SI = Simple Interest

Now,

⇢ (x/2) = (x × 10 × 6)/100

⇢ (1/2) = (6/10)

★ Which is not true, so it is not a possible case.

Answer:

Not possible

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the sum be Rs y

Since, simple interest= Rs ( y / 2) and,

T= 6 year

R =10% per annum.

So simple interest,

SI=(P×R×T) / 100

Where, R=Rate

T=Time

SI=Simple interest

Now according to problem, (Y/2) =(Y×10×6)/100

=(1/2) = (6/10)

Which is not true, So it is Not possible
