SI = prt/100
= 6250 × 2 × 1 / 100
= 125

Given :- 
P = Rs. 6250.
R = 4%.
T = 6 months = 1/2 yr.

We have to obtain S.I. 

Using SI formula, 
S.I =  \frac{PXRXT}{100}  \\  \frac{6250X4X1/2}{100}   \\ =\frac{625X2}{10} \\ = \frac{625}{5}   \\ =125


Hence, SI for the given Principle will be Rs. 125.

Let us also calculate the amount after 6 months.
AMOUNT = P + SI 
= 6250 + 125
= 6375

Hence, the Simple interest will be Rs. 125 and amount will be Rs. 6375.
