Time period (N) = 3 years

Rate of interest (R) = 24 p.c.p.a.

To find : Simple Interest (SI)

Solution :

We will use the formula of Simple Interest

Simple Interest = \dfrac{P \times N \times R}{100}

☛ SI = \dfrac{6400 \times 3 \times 24}{100}

The two zeroes of 6400 and 100 gets cancelled

☛ SI = 64 × 3 × 24

☛ SI = 4608

∴ Simple Interest is \large{\boxed{\boxed{\rm{Rs.4680}}}}
