Analysis

In this question, we first have to find the area of the field and then multiply the rate of levelling per square metre to it.

Solution,

Length of the field, a = 35 m

Area of the field = a²

= 35 x 35

= 1225 m²

Cost of levelling per m² = Rs 5

∴ Cost of levelling 1225 m²

= 1225 x 5

= Rs 6125

Therefore,

The area of the field is 1225 m².

            AND

The cost of levelling it is Rs 6125.
