Scattering means that particles and molecules in the air scatter light coming from the sun which means there are reflection in the sky.
- As we go up at the height 31000 to 38000ft, here the atmosphere is less which mean there will be less particles and molecules and therefore there will be less scattering of light.
- Due to less scattering the sky at high altitudes appear to be dark.
- If we go much higher means in space where there is no atmosphere, therefore they appear dark.
