The slant height and base height diameter of a conical tomb are 25m and 14m respectively. Find the cost of white washing its curved surface at the rate of Rs 210 per 100m².

given :-

slant height of the cone = l = 25m

diameter of the cone = d = 14cm

we know that diameter is double the Length if it's radius.

➡ base radius of the cone = 14/2

= 7cm

now, we have to find the cost of white washing it's curved surface area.

so first of all, let's find it's CSA

formula to find the curved surface area of a cone is πrl.

➡ it's curved surface area = πrl

= 22/7 × 7 × 25

= 22 × 25

= 550m²

if 100m² costs = rs 210

➡ 1m² = 210/100 = Rs 2.1

hence, total cost of white washing = 550 × 2.1

= Rs 1155

GIVEN :

Slant Height of the conical tomb = l = 25m

Diameter of the conical tomb = d = 14m

Radius of the conical tomb = 14/2 = 7m

CSA of the conical tomb = πrl

= 22/7 × 7 × 25

= 22 × 25

= 22 × 25

= 550m²

Cost of painting at the rate of ₹210 per 100m²

Cost of painting the whole curved surface area = (550 × 210) / 100

= 55 × 21

= ₹1155

Therefore, the cost of painting the curved surface area of conical tomb is ₹1155.
