the smell of hot sizzling food reaches us several meters but not when the food is cold.This is 'coz hot food posses kinetic energy as compared to cold food..The more the temp.,more will be the kinetic energy..

This is because the kinetic energy rises with temperature.

So, when you have hot sizzling food, the aroma of the food reaches our nose easily and hence we get the smell of hot sizzling food.

But, in case of cold food we have to go close because the temperature is low and hence the kinetic energy is low. We have to go close o get the smell.

This is the reason why we get the smell of hot sizzling food from several meters away.
