when food is cooked some of the substances in food releases gases having the smell of the food. the particles of these gases move very quickly and mix up with air by diffusion. when air containing these gases reach our nose, we get the smell of smell of food being cooked in the kitchen. the rate of diffusion increases with increase in temperature.thus, the rate of diffusion is faster in hot sizzling food.

Dear user !!

In case of hot sizzling food, the temperature is high. Thus their is high

randomness of molecules. Thus they can diffuse to comparatively larger

distance and thus the smell reaches us while the case reverses for the cold

food.

Hope it helps you !!
