The soil in the forest is often fertile and support plenty of plants without any fertilizer why?

Forests have a soil that is fresh and not yet abused by humans. The soil is rich in humus and due to the excessive number of trees the top soil is not eroded. The forests soil also have impressive amount of nutrients as it hasn't been spoiled with chemicals. PLS MARK ME AS THE BRAINLIEST
