Given:

The solubility of KCl = 30 gram

The mass of evaporated solution = 20 gm

To Find:

The weight of KCl left behind after evaporation.

Calculation:

- The solubility of KCl is 30 grams.

⇒ The mass of KCl in 100 gm of the saturated solution = 30 gm

⇒ The mass of KCl in 20 gm of the saturated solution = (30/100) × 20 gm

⇒ The mass of KCl in 20 gm of the saturated solution = 6 gm

- SInce KCl cannot evaporate, after complete dryness is reached, this mass remains left over.

- So, the weight of KCl left behind after evaporation is 6 gm.
