If A+B = 28, A-B = 14, then what is A/B?

A + B = 28, A - B = 14:

In A - B = 14 then A = 14 + B substitute value of A into first equation:

Where A + B = 28: then 14 + B + B = 28, collect terms 2B = 14; B = 7

Sub value of B: A - B = 14; A - 7 = 14 then A = 21

Check: A + B = 28; 21 + 7 = 28; 28 = 28

Thus for A / B = 21 / 7 = 3
