The solution of the pair of linear equation 3x - 2y = 5 and 5x + 2y = 19 is ?

  3x-2y=5-------1
- 5x+2y=19------2
-2x=-14------3
     = 7
substitute x into equation 1
3(7)-2y=5
21-2y=5
-2y=5-21
     =-16
    y=8
∴x=7
  y=8
