Given that :

i) Box has ₹45 in it.

ii) It consist of 1 rupee ,50 paise and 25 paise coin

iii) Ratio in which that coins are present is 2 : 3 : 4

To Find:

Number of 1 rupee coins.

Solution:

50 paise = 0.5 rupees.

25 paise = 0.25 rupees.

Let number of 1 rupee coins be 2x.

Then number of 50 paise coins = 3x

Number of 25 paise coins = 4x.

Sum of value of all coins gives 450.

⇒ (2x)(1) + (3x)(0.5) + 4x(0.25) = 450

⇒ 2x + 1.5x + 1x = 450

⇒ 4.5 x = 450

⇒ x = 100

Number of 1 rupee coins = 2x = 2 × 100 = 200

Therefore number of 1 rupee coins in the box is 200.
