x-y=2 (1st equation)
x+y=8(2nd equation)
Add 1st and 2nd
x-y+x+y=2+8
then -y will be cancelled with +y
2x=10
x=5
Then substitute x=5 in any equation u wish. lets substitute in 2nd
then y=3
