The sound of a door bell is fainter than that of temple bell because :

• Door bells produces the sound via the mechanism of electromagnetism where electrical energy is converted to sound energy.

• The pressing of doorbell passes current throught the magnetic field which charges up the wire electrically and hence a decent non spontaneous sound is produced.

• But in case of temple bell, the metal is usually bronze that has resonating property. Due to the striking of bell, the vibration produced is much higher and its directly proportional to the input in manual energy.

• Hence sound of temple bell is much louder than that of door bells.

Answer:

The sound of a doorbell is fainter than a temple's bell because a doorbell is restricted to producing sound through an electrical source of energy. It produces sound through this mechanism. A temple bell is produced directly via the force of a person made on the bells themselves.
