The sound of an explosion on the surface of a lake is heard by a diver 150m below and by a boat man 150m away the point of explosion​

(i) The diver who is underwater will hear the sound first as compared to the person in boat .

(ii) This is so because , rarer the medium less is the speed of the sound and denser the medium more is the velocity of sound , since sound is a form of energy which causes a disturbance in its surrounding .
