yesssss

Sitar has metal strings - stretched over pegs - that are plucked while the tablahas a piece of dried skin - stretched over a round wooden hollow - that is struck. Thus the timbre or the tonal quality of the sound produced is different. ... Because tabla is a percussion instrument and sitar is a string instrument.

HEY DEAR .

---------------------------------------------

Tabla is made as a purcussion Instruments mainly to provide rththm and sitar is made as a melody instrument to produce notes or tune,

To produce sound from tabla, one need to stoke on Tabla the tabla

for sitar one has to sroke on strings with one hand and with the other hand press or pull the strings.
