The sounds of crickets make us close our ears. Why?

The sounds of Crickets(insects) makes us close our ears because, the frequency  and pitch of their sound is high. The frequency of sounds of cricket is in ultrasonic range that is nearly 20,000hz. so we are unable to hear the sound. so sounds of the crickets make close our ears.
