The speaker icon mentioned here is possible could be seen in MS power point presentation. It would be appearing on presentation slides, whenever we are trying to add sound files in these presentation slides. This speaker icon can be edited by moving or resizing. In all power point versions i.e. 2012, 13, 16, the audio clip can be selected.  

In tools bar, sound tools click on playback tab and then audio options and we can select hide there. Similarly resizing can also be done under sound tools.
