The specific resistance of the material of a wire is 44x10-8Ωm.If the resistance of the wire is 14Ω and its diameter is 1 mm,calculate the length of the wire

Given :

Resistivity of the conductor = 44x10^-8

ohm

R = 14 ohm

Diameter = 1mm

Area = TTD^2/4 = 1/4x( 10^-3 )^2 m^2

We know that ,

Length of wire = ResistancexArea/Resistivity of the conductor

= 14 * 17/4 * ( 10 ^ -6 ) * 1 / 44 * 10 ^ -8

= 14 * ( 22 / 7 * 4 ) * 10 ^ -6 * 1 / 44 * 10 ^ -8

= 14 * 22/28 * 100/44

= 22/2 * 100/44

= 100/4

= 25m
