The speed of a boat in still water is 15km/h and the speed of a stream is 5km/h.Find the time taken by the boat to cover 40km upstream and 36 km downstream​

Speed of man (x) = 60 km/hr and speed of downstream = 75 km/hr. ∴ Speed of stream = 15 km/hr. Hence upstream speed = 60 – 15 = 45 km/hr. So time taken to cover 20 km = 20/45*60 = 26.67min.\

time=distance/speed

=40/15

=2.66 km per hour

second boat=36/5

=7.2KM PER HOUR
