speed=distance÷time
2t+10=12÷t
t^2+5t-6=0
(t-1)(t+6)=0
t=1
2t+10=12÷t
t^2+5t-6=0
(t-1)(t+6)=0
t=1

The speed of an ant = (2t+10)m / min ( given)
Time = t min ( given)
Distance = 12 m ( given)
∴ Speed = Distance ÷ Time
(2t+10)m / min =
⇒t ( 2t +10 = 12
⇒ 2t² + 10t - 12=0
⇒t² + 5t - 6
⇒t² + 6t - t - 6=0
⇒ t ( t +6 ) - 1 ( t + 6) =0
⇒ ( t+6) ( t -1) =0
⇒ ( t + 6 ) =0
t = -6
( t-1) = 0
t = 1
t = 1, -6
For the reason that time cannot be negative so, t = 1
∴ the value of t is 1 minute
Ans :- t = 1 minute.
