by using. speed of light in vacuum/ speed of light in denser medium.

we have given that speed of light in the denser medium is 0.6 of speed of light in vaccum, therefore speed of light in medium = 0.6×3×raise the power eight mtr/sec.
which is 18×10 raise the power eight.

refractive index= speed of light in vaccum/speed of light in medium.
3×100000000/18×10000000 =1

mdehsan2737: anyway wrong
phenomenalinderjeet: why
phenomenalinderjeet: its actually 1.66 but by mistake i have write only 1

Answer:

The speed of light in a transparent meduim is 0.6 times that of its speed in vacuum

Refractive index of medium = speed of light in vacuum / speed of light in vacuum

RI = 1/0.6 = 5/3
