the speed of rotation of earth is greater at equator than at poles

At the equator we travel for almost 1667 km/h. If we go on the poles, the circle we travel becomes smaller. Our speed goes down to 833 km/h. So, Earth rotates at a greater speed at equator as compare to the poles.
