The speed of sound in water is 1500m/s. How far away from an under-sea rock should a diver be so that he can hear his own echo?

Let's see given data:
Speed = 1500 m/s
So,
Distance = 1500 x 0.1
               = 150 m
∴ Distance between driver and sea rock that driver can hear his own echo will be:
= Total distance/2
= 150/2
= 75 m

speed =1500 m/s

distance=1500 x 0.1=150

therefore the distance between the driver and the under sea rock=150/2=75 m
