The speed of three car are in ratio 2:3:4 then ratio between the time taken by these car to travel the same distence is....?

<b>Let the speed of three cars be 2x,3x and 4x respectively.Let the distance be a km.

&lt;b&gt;Time taken=distance /speed<br />
&lt;b&gt;Time taken by,-------------<br />First car=2x/a<br />Second car=3x/a<br />Third car=4x/a<br />
&lt;b&gt;So ratio between the time taken will be-
&lt;b&gt;2x/a:3x/a:4x/a
They all have x/a common, so dividing by x/a gives us:
&lt;b&gt;2:3:4

&lt;b&gt;Hence the ratio between the time taken by these cars is 2:3:4.
