the spring constant of a spring shown in figure is 250 Newton/metre find the maximum compression of a spring

initial momentum = 5 *15 = 75
Final momentum = 6*v
therefore v = 75/6
from conservation of energy,  
1/2*k*x^2 = 1/2*6*(75/6)^2
therefore x = 7.5/2 m
