we can say that the sides of triangle were x,xand y
so we have
x²+x²=50
2x²= 50
x²=25
x=5 cm

Therefore the length of each side is 5 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose the length of each of two equal sides of an isosceles triangle is a cm.

Length of square of hypotenuse =50 cm^{2}

So according to the Pythagoras theorem we have;

  a^{2} +a^{2} =50

2a^{2} =50

a^{2} =25

a=5

So the length of each side is 5 cm
