The steps to construct a quadrilateral WXYZ where WX = 7 cm, XY = 9 cm, YZ

= 12 cm, X = 105° and Y = 75° in a random order are as follows.

Step A: Draw XY = 9 cm.

Step B: Join WZ to get the required quadrilateral WXYZ.

Step C: Taking X as the centre, draw YXT = 105°.

Step D: Taking Y as the centre, draw XYS = 75°.

Step E: Taking X as the centre and radius equal to 7 cm, draw an arc

intersecting XT at W.

Step F: Taking Y as the centre and radius equal to 12 cm, draw an arc

intersecting YS at Z.

(a) Arrange the above steps in logical sequence so that we can construct a

quadrilateral WXYZ.

(b) Mention the steps whose sequence can’t be changed.

(c) Mention the steps whose sequence can be changed.
