Recently, I have learned more about my family than I did in the past years of being with them. I learned about the experiences they went through when they were growing up, how they interacted with their families. I already knew a lot about my families, but I learned new historical events they went through and how they individual reacted to them. Some things I learned from my family were how my grandparents from both side had a different lifestyle and the different incidents that took place during that era. Events like the partition of India, where my mother’s side of family had to move around to be the place they finally called home. The issues that they had in a different country, from where I am, showed me the different perspective of each person and their separate life.
